Monday’s broadcast of “The Voice” literally just ended on the west coast. iTunes purchases do not count as votes this season.
Despite both realities, two songs from Monday’s episode already occupy Top 5 positions on the US iTunes sales chart.
Sarah Grace’s rendition of “Amazing Grace” currently sits at #3 on the chart, while Kirk Jay’s “Tomorrow” occupies the #5 position.
Other songs from Monday’s Top 10 performance show include MaKenzie Thomas’ “Because You Loved Me” at #21, Kymberli Joye’s “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” at #29, Chevel Shepherd’s “You’re Lookin’ At Country” at #30, Kennedy Holmes’ “Me Too” at #52, Dave Fenley’s “When You Say Nothing At All” at #68, Chris Kroeze’s “Callin’ Baton Rouge” at #79, Reagan Strange’s “Cry” at #121 and DeAndre Nico’s “That’s What I Like” at #236.
Whereas iTunes purchases do not count as votes this year, Apple Music streams do. The most streamed song also receives a vote multiplier bonus (again to the “iTunes bonus” awarded to top sellers in many past seasons).
But insofar as none of Monday’s songs are currently charting on the Apple Music Top 200, it is impossible to assess which ones are faring best on the streaming front.
