Pop Radio Audiences Are Still Loving Khalid & Normani’s “Love Lies”

“Love Lies” remains the best-scoring song on the pop radio callout report.

Khalid x Normani’s “Love Lies” is currently in its thirty-sixth week on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. It hit #1 on the chart back in September.

Despite that lengthy run — and mammoth degree of exposure — the song continues to be an audience favorite.

As has been the case since the summer, “Love Lies” is a standout performer in the latest Mediabase/Critical Mass Media callout report.

The song boasts a positive reception from 70.4% of surveyed listeners, a negative reception from 17.9%, and thus a “net positive” score of 52.5%. It meanwhile possesses a “favorite” rating from 29.7%.

Of the 16 songs featured in this week’s report, “Love Lies” boasts the #1 positive score, the #1 net positive score, the #5 negative score, and #4 favorite score. It, ultimately, is the best-scoring song at pop radio.

And while its 14.4% “heavy burn” score is above average, it is fairly modest given its longevity. The songs with higher burn rates — “Girls Like You,” “Better Now,” and “Youngblood” — are all newer to the chart by nine or ten weeks.
