Songs By Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Brett Young, Chris Stapleton Enter Top 10 On iTunes Following CMA Awards

Exposure at the CMA Awards drove songs like “She Got The Best Of Me” and “Tequila” into the Top 10 on iTunes.

The annual CMA Awards ceremony is famous for moving the needle on the US iTunes sales chart. Wednesday’s ceremony is keeping that trend alive.

On the heels of the broadcast, four country songs rocketed into the Top 10 on the all-genre chart. Some other CMA-boosted numbers are just outside the Top 10 as of press time at 12:10AM ET Thursday.

Currently #6 on the chart, Luke Combs’ “She Got The Best Of Me” leads the way among CMA Awards-related tracks. Combs performed the song — and received the New Artist award — at Wednesday’s show.

Dan + Shay’s “Tequila” and Brett Young’s “Mercy” follow at #7 and #8, respectively. Chris Stapleton’s “Broken Halos” occupies the #9 position.

Dan + Shay and Young each performed those songs; “Broken Halos” won for Song and Single of the Year.

None of the aforementioned songs was in the Top 25 at the start of the show; “Mercy” and “Broken Halos” were outside the Top 100.

— Other CMA-boosted numbers currently in the Top 20 include Kelsea Ballerini’s “Miss Me More” (#12), Bebe Rexha & Florida Georga Line’s “Meant To Be” (#14), Dierks Bentley’s “Burning Man (featuring Brothers Osborne)” (#16), and Keith Urban’s “Never Comin Down” (#20).
