“Golden Hour” wins the coveted Album Of The Year prize.

“Golden Hour” is Kacey Musgraves’ third studio album.

It is her first to win the CMA Award for Album of the Year.

Musgraves received the news at the midpoint of Wednesday’s three-hour CMA Awards broadcast. During her acceptance speech, Musgraves noted that today marks the ten-year anniversary of her moving to Nashville to pursue a career in country music.

The other nominees included Dierks Bentley’s “The Mountain,” Chris Stapleton’s “From A Room, Vol. 2,” Thomas Rhett’s “Life Changes,” and Keith Urban’s “Graffiti U.”

Musgraves has another shot to win a key trophy tonight: she is up for Female Vocalist of the Year.
