“Halloween” Leads US Friday Box Office; Will Win Second Consecutive Weekend

“Halloween” will spend a second weekend as America’s #1 film.

“Halloween,” last weekend’s US box office winner, is poised to keep its crown this week.

The horror film earned $10.0 million at the US box office on Friday, October 26. It should close the weekend in the $28-32 million range.

It comfortably ranked as Friday’s #1 film; based on the weekend projection, it should have no trouble ruling through Sunday.

Credited with $4.2 million in receipts, “A Star Is Born” took second place Friday. It should close the weekend with $13-15 million.

“Venom” grabbed #3 Friday with $2.9 million (on pace for a $9-11 million weekend), while new release “Hunter Killer” took #4 with $2.6 million (on pace for $6-8 million this weekend).

“Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween,” Friday’s #5 film, added $1.8 million to its haul. It will post a weekend tally in the $6-8 million range.
