Taylor Swift’s “1989” Celebrates 200 Weeks On Billboard 200 Chart

“1989” is still on the Billboard 200 — nearly four years after its original release.

Taylor Swift’s Grammy-winning, hit-producing “1989” reaches an impressive milestone on this week’s Billboard 200.

The album is celebrating a 200th week on the definitive US album chart.

First released in the fall of 2014, “1989” appears at #112 on this week’s chart (dated October 20, 2018). At 200 weeks, “1989” boasts the 33rd-longest reign on the listing.

A pure sales chart at the time of the album’s release, the Billboard 200 has since transitioned into a full-fledged consumption chart. It accounts for album sales, track sales and track streams.

A multi-week #1 on the listing, “1989” won the Grammy for Best Album. It produced seven radio singles: “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” “Style,” “Bad Blood,” “Wildest Dreams,” “Out Of The Woods,” and “New Romantics.”
