As it retains its #1 status at Christian adult contemnpor radio, Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” continues to attract interest from mainstream radio formats.
“You Say” has been steadily gaining airplay at the hot adult contemporary format. It currently appears at #46 on Mediabase’s building/real-time hot adult contemporary chart.
This week, “You Say” also began to receive spins at pop radio.
According to Mediabase, Canton’s Q92 played “You Say” five times during the seven days ending September 27. Nashville’s i106.7 offered 3 spins within that window.
Whether “You Say” will become a legitimate hit at either mainstream format remains to be seen, but there is no denying that the song has been making an impact beyond the Christian music genre. “You Say” has been a fixture of the Top 10 on the US iTunes sales chart since launching this January. It also has a spot on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist — a rare achievement for a Christian music track.
It also clearly buoyed interest in Daigle’s new album “Look Up Child,” which debuted as an impressive #3 on the Billboard 200.
