While it has not yet smashed at country radio, Caitlyn Smith’s music has received rave reviews from many critics and fans. Those who look beyond the surface of the mainstream charts recognize her “Starfire” as one of the best albums released this year.
Ed Sheeran recently confirmed himself as a supporter. In a Thursday night post to his Instagram story, Sheeran wrote “wow” with regard to Smith’s stunning “This Town Is Killing Me.”
The emotional track, which details Smith’s sacrifices, struggles and disillusionment in pursuit of country music stardom, appears on the aforementioned “Starfire” album.
“Thank you @edsheeran,” wrote Smith upon discovering the post. “You’re one of my favorites in all the land!”
