“Crazy Rich Asians” Wins Third Consecutive US Weekend Box Office Race

“Crazy Rich Asians” remains the top film at the US box office.

“Crazy Rich Asians” extends its reign as America’s #1 film.

Based on studio estimates, “Crazy Rich Asians” wins yet another US weekend box office race. The film is spending a third consecutive weekend at #1.

“Crazy Rich Asians” will have added about $22.2 million to its haul by the end of Sunday. The figure brings the film’s cumulative total to $111.0 million.

“The Meg” holds at #2 with $10.5 million (cume now $120.5 million). “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” follows at #3 with $7.0 million (cume now $204.3 million), while the new “Operation Finale” takes #4 with $6.0 million. With its Wednesday and Thursday numbers included, it now boasts a cumulative haul of $7.7 million.

“Searching,” which expanded into just over 1200 theaters this weekend, grabs #5 on the chart with $5.7 million (cume now $7.7 million).

— “Kin,” which is actually the widest of this week’s new releases, takes #12 with a mere $3.0 million.
