Cardi B Repeats As #1 Female Solo Act On Billboard Artist 100 Chart

Cardi B is still America’s leading female artist.

Billboard just released a new edition of the Artist 100.

Like last week’s chart — and many charts from earlier this year — Cardi B is the highest-ranking female artist.

Listed at #5 on the overall chart, Cardi B only trails three male solo artists (Drake at #1, Kenny Chesney at #2 and Post Malone at #3) and an all-male band (Imagine Dragons at #4).

Taylor Swift, who appears at #9 on the overall chart, takes second among female acts.

Ariana Grande ranks as the #3 female solo artist (and #11 overall) artist; Demi Lovato follows at #4 among female soloists and #20 overall artist. Positioned at #25 on the overall breakdown, Camila Cabello ranks as the #5 female solo act.

Other high-ranking female soloists include Queen Naija (#6 female, #28 overall), Ella Mai (#7 female, #32 overall), Dua Lipa (#8 female, #36 overall), Nicki Minaj (#9 female, #43 overall), and Bebe Rexha (#10 female, #47 overall).

The “female solo act” qualification is relevant this week, as the Lzzy Hale-fronted band Halestorm appears above all but Cardi B, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande on the overall chart.
