“Mission: Impossible – Fallout” Stays #1 At US Weekend Box Office; “Christopher Robin” Takes #2

“Mission: Impossible – Fallout” comfortably defeats newcomers “Christopher Robin” and “The Spy Who Dumped Me” to retain its throne at the US weekend box office.

The sequel added another $35.0 million in receipts this weekend, bringing its cumulative haul to $124.5 million. “M:I – Fallout” is celebrating a second weekend at #1.

“Christopher Robin” debuts at #2 with $25.0 million, while a gross of $12.4 million slots “The Spy Who Dumped Me” in third.

“Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” slips two spots to #4 with $9.1 million (cume now $91.3 million), while a weekend tally of $8.8 million brings “The Equalizer 2” down two places to #5 (cume now $79.9 million).

— New release “The Darkest Minds” debuts at #8 with $5.8 million.
