Charity Campaign Lifts Cash Cash & Abir’s “Finest Hour” On US iTunes Sales Chart

“Finest Hour” is the #1 dance song and in the Top 30 among all recordings.

In celebration of the radio host’s birthday, Cash Cash and Abir performed their single “Finest Hour” on Thursday morning’s “Elvis Duran Show.”

Following the performance, Duran declared that he would donate $2 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for every copy the song sold on iTunes Thursday. Other celebrities, including Bebe Rexha, Dashboard Confessional and Brody Jenner, helped spread the word about Duran’s gesture.

The charitable vow clearly resonated with music buyers. The song, which was outside the Top 100 Thursday morning, quickly soared into the Top 30 on the all-genre US iTunes sales chart. It is #27 as of press time at 11:55PM ET Thursday night.

“Finest Hour” meanwhile ranks as the store’s #1 dance track, beating out releases like The Chainsmokers’ “Side Effects (featuring Emily Warren)” and Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey’s “The Middle.”

“Finest Hour” recently entered the Top 40 at pop radio.
