Jake Owen’s “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” Reaches #1 At Country Radio

Jake Owen claims #1 on this week’s Mediabase country chart.

Despite enduring a week-over-week loss in airplay, Jake Owen’s “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” rises to #1 on this week’s Mediabase country radio singles chart.

The song, which was #2 last week, seizes the throne from Kenny Chesney’s “Get Along.”

Not simply the leader in chart points, “I Was Jack” ranked as the Mediabase country panel’s most played and heard song for the July 22-28 tracking period. It received ~8,420 spins (-268) and 52.39 million audience impressions.

Up three places, Keith Urban’s “Coming Home (featuring Julia Michaels)” takes #2 on this week’s chart. The aforementioned “Get Along” drops to #3, while Brett Young’s “Mercy” spends another week at #4. Up one place, Morgan Evans’ “Kiss Somebody” earns #5.
