No, the series finale of CMT’s “Nashville” was not a major ratings hit.
It did, however, deliver the show’s best performance since January.
According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s episode drew a 0.17 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 876,000 overall viewers. The numbers top the 0.15 rating and 708,000 viewer mark garnered by last week’s broadcast.
The demo rating, moreover, ranks as the show’s best since the January 25 installment (0.18). The viewership mark tops that of the season premiere (873,000) to rank as a new season high. One would have to go back to the March 9, 2017 episode (mid-season 5 finale) to find an episode that fared better in overall viewership (965,000).
Dropped by ABC after four seasons, “Nashville” began a two-season, thirty-eight episode run on CMT in December 2016.
