Demi Lovato’s “Sober” Receiving Pop Radio Airplay In Detroit, Grand Rapids, More

Pop stations have been spinning “Sober” this week.

While Demi Lovato’s “Sober” generated ample sales interest upon its initial release, it was not positioned as an official radio single. It, consequently, did not receive much airplay.

Upon rediscovering the song in the wake of her hospitalization, several programmers have been playing the song this week.

According to Mediabase, Detroit’s Channel 955 has been the biggest supporter. It played “Sober” 18 times during the seven days ending July 26.

Grand Rapids’ 104.5 SNX played the song 11 times within that window, while Myrtle Beach’s Energy 92.1 has offered 8 spins. Buffalo’s Kiss 98.5, another top supporter, has played the song 5 times.

Several other stations have played the song between 1 and 4 times this week.

“Sober” is also back in the upper reaches of the iTunes chart; it is #2 as of press time Friday morning.
