Ratings: “Miz & Mrs” Premieres Decently After WWE SmackDown!

“Miz & Mrs” predictably retained a solid chunk of its SmackDown lead-in.

The premiere of USA Network’s “Miz & Mrs” posted decent numbers Tuesday night.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s episode drew a 0.58 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.47 million overall viewers. It was cable’s #5 original in the key adults 18-49 demographic.

Granted, it had some help. “Miz & Mrs” aired out of “WWE SmackDown! Live,” which drew a 0.75 adults 18-49 rating and 2.34 million viewers from 8-10PM ET.

Not merely a strong lead-in numerically, “WWE SmackDown! Live” offered immense theoretical compatibility. “Miz & Mrs” stars Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and his wife Maryse are famous for their work in WWE. The final segment of Tuesday’s SmackDown, moreover, directly promoted Tuesday’s “Miz & Mrs” premiere.

Still, it is hard to look at the premiere performance in a less-than-positive light. In addition to faring well competitively, “Miz & Mrs” outrated recent episodes of previous timeslot occupant (and flagship USA reality show) “Chrisley Knows Best.”

Whether “Miz & Mrs” can remain at these levels moving forward will, of course, be the better judge of the show’s value.
