Demi Lovato’s “Sober” Returns To Top 3 On US iTunes Sales Chart

“Sober” rises on iTunes amid Lovato’s hospitalization.

Update: Tuesday afternoon, news broke that Demi Lovato was hospitalized. Fans and peers from around the world offered their immediate support; those prayers and expressions of love continued Wednesday.

In the wake of the news, fans have also been revisiting her recently released single “Sober.” The song, which was well outside the Top 100 on US iTunes Tuesday, had returned to the store’s Top 10 by early Wednesday morning.

By Wednesday evening, it was in the Top 3. “Sober” is the store’s third-best-selling song as of press time at 4:50PM ET. Only Drake’s “In My Feelings” (#1) and Imagine Dragons’ “Natural” (#2) are selling at a faster pace.

“Sober” hit #1 on the chart immediately after its release earlier this year.

Following her hospitalization Tuesday, pop star Demi Lovato has received an outpouring of support from fans, members of the entertainment industry and fellow celebrities.

The news has also caused many to visit — or revisit — her recently released single “Sober.” The song is up to #10 on the US iTunes sales chart as of press time at 12:45AM ET Wednesday.

It was well outside the Top 100 prior to Tuesday’s news.

The intimately emotional “Sober” chronicles Lovato’s recent relapse after six years of sobriety. It hit #1 on iTunes following its initial release.
