Sunday’s celebrity “Shark Week” specials ranked as Sunday’s top cable originals in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.
According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, “Shaq Does Shark Week” won the night with a 1.21 adults 18-49 rating and an average of 3.16 million overall viewers.
That special led into “Ronda Rousey Uncaged,” which provided Discovery Channel with a 0.95 rating and 2.45 million viewer mark. It was the day’s #2 cable original.
Earlier in the night, the network offered “Bear [Grylls] vs. Shark.” It took third place in adults 18-49, courtesy of its 0.86 rating. It meanwhile delivered a 2.25 million viewer average, which was also good for a third-place finish.
