Ratings Emerge For Season 8 Premiere Of “Suits”

Wednesday’s “Suits” was the first episode since the departures of Patrick J Adams and Meghan Markle.

Marking the eighth season premiere, Wednesday’s “Suits” drew the show’s best viewership mark since September 2017.

It posted the show’s best adults 18-49 rating since the recent midseason premiere.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, the episode posted a 0.28 rating in adults 18-49. It averaged 1.27 million overall viewers.

The adults 18-49 rating is the show’s best since the 0.30 drawn by the March 28, 2018 season 7B/midseason premiere. The viewership mark is the highest since the 1.68 million mark garnered by the September 13, 2017 season 7A/summer finale.

Not merely a season premiere, this week’s episode marked a new era for the show. It was the first broadcast since the departure of original cast members Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross) and Meghan Markle (Rachel Zane). It also featured the debut of Katherine Heigl’s character Samantha Wheeler.
