As has been the case for much of 2018, Cardi B claims the highest ranking for a female artist on this week’s Billboard Artist 100.
Cardi B holds at #6 on the overall chart, which ranks the top artists in America based on factors like album sales, song consumption and social media activity. The five artists above her — Drake (#1), Post Malone (#2), BTS (#3), XXXTentacion (#4) and Imagine Dragons (#5) — are all male.
Taylor Swift ranks as this week’s #2 female artist. She takes #8 among all artists.
Ariana Grande grabs the #3 slot for females (#12 overall), while Ella Mai moves into the #4 position (#17 overall).
Dua Lipa, who takes #21 on the overall chart, closes out the Top 5 among female artists.
Other high-ranking female artists (solo acts only) include Camila Cabello (#6 female, #25 overall), Nicki Minaj (#7 female, #39 overall), Halsey (#8 female, #41 overall), Bebe Rexha (#9 female, #44 overall) and Selena Gomez (#10 female, #47 overall).
