Thursday’s edition of “The Four: Battle For Stardom” drew fewer viewers than any first season episode.
It did, however, draw more viewers than any previous second season episode.
According to national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “The Four” drew a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 2.81 million overall viewers on a live+same-day basis.
The demo rating ties the season high set by the previous episode on June 28. The viewership mark represents a new high; the previous episode drew 2.58 million.
While the upward trajectory is certainly welcome, the overall numbers are modest in comparison to those of the first season. “The Four” closed its inaugural chapter with a 1.3 demo rating and 3.92 million viewers, and insofar as buzz (and ratings) built over the course of the season, few anticipated a big drop in season two.
