Ariana Grande’s “God Is A Woman” Receives Big Opening Day Pop Radio Play In Phoenix, Miami

“God Is A Woman” received early attention at pop radio.

Phoenix pop station 104.7 KISS FM played Ariana Grande’s “God Is A Woman” twice Thursday night.

By the end of the song’s first full day in the market, the station had offered a whopping 20 spins.

According to Mediabase, 104.7 KISS FM ranked as the song’s biggest pop radio supporter through the close of Friday.

Other noteworthy airplay leaders included Miami’s Hits 97.3 (15 spins by the end of Friday), Montgomery, Alabama’s Y102 (9 spins), San Francisco’s WiLD 94.9 (7 spins) and Dallas’ Hot 93.3 (7 spins).

Numerous other stations offered between one and five spins. That list of opening day supporters includes San Francisco’s 99.7 NOW (5 spins) and New York’s Z100 (4 spins).

“God Is A Woman” was released at 12AM ET Friday/9PM PT Thursday as the follow-up to Grande’s “No Tears Left To Cry.” It will officially impact pop radio in conjunction with the July 24 add board.

“No Tears Left To Cry” is set to reach #1 on this week’s pop chart.
