Ariana Grande’s “God Is A Woman” Received Late-Night Pop Radio Airplay In San Francisco, Phoenix

“God Is A Woman” received out-of-the-gate airplay at pop radio.

With “No Tears Left To Cry” pacing for #1 on this week’s pop radio chart, the Republic Records radio team is not yet formally promoting “God Is A Woman.”

It did, however, issue the song to mainstream programmers at 12AM ET Friday. Several stations provided immediate airplay.

Since the launch technically came late Thursday in non-eastern timezones, the initial spins from those stations actually count toward Thursday’s airplay.

San Francisco’s WiLD 94.9 led the way in terms of Thursday airplay; according to Mediabase, it played the song three times before the clock struck midnight on the west coast.

Phoenix’s 104.7 KISS FM offered 2 Thursday night spins. Numerous other stations played the song once before their timezones progressed to Friday.
