It did not launch until the sixth day of the June 29-July 5 tracking period, but Copilot Music + Sound’s version of “Take Me Home, Country Roads” still earns a spot on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart.
The John Denver cover, specifically, takes #26 on this week’s edition of the chart.
The cover first made waves in the official trailer for Bethesda Softworks’ forthcoming game “Fallout 76.” Bethesda formally released the song on July 4, with proceeds going to Habitat For Humanity.
Shortly after its release, “Take Me Home” soared to #1 on the US iTunes sales chart.
