Kygo & Miguel’s “Remind Me To Forget” Selected For iHeartRadio “On The Verge” Program

“Remind Me To Forget” will receive “On The Verge” exposure at pop radio.

iHeartRadio has finally announced a new “On The Verge” song for the pop radio format.

Kygo’s “Remind Me To Forget (featuring Miguel)” is that song.

Under the terms of the program, the artists will receive branding support across the iHeartMedia Network. The song, meanwhile, will receive guaranteed airplay from iHeartMedia pop stations.

The program formally launched this past weekend, and the airplay impact is already visible. “Remind Me To Forget” is #35 on Mediabase’s building/real-time airplay chart for the June 24-30 tracking period. It was outside last week’s Top 50.

Some will, of course, debate whether Kygo or Miguel should be eligible for an “On The Verge” program. Both are established acts, and Kygo actually had a Top 2 pop radio hit in “It Ain’t Me (with Selena Gomez).” Miguel hit #11 as a featured act on Mariah Carey’s “Beautiful.”

Neither, however, has scored a major pop radio hit for a song on which they were the lead attraction.  And even if they had, iHeartRadio has previously extended “On The Verge” support to artists with hits.  Country artist Dustin Lynch, as an example, received “On The Verge” for “Where It’s At” despite previously hitting the Top 2 with “Cowboys & Angels.”
