Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson will return to the red chairs on this fall’s season of “The Voice.”
Before doing so, they will help celebrate American Independence Day.
NBC says that its annual “Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks Spectacular” will feature performances by the music industry superstars.
Keith Urban and Ricky Martin have also been confirmed as performers for the event.
“In celebration of the 100th anniversary of ‘God Bless America,’ the special will also feature an all-new recording of the patriotic classic by Kelly Clarkson with the West Point Band and Glee Club as the backdrop to the show’s famed Golden Mile, an array of golden-hued effects for a mile across the river,” teases NBC.
Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila are returning as hosts for the broadcast, which will air from 8-10PM ET/PT on July 4.
The special will feature live footage of the East River fireworks display, although some of the performances will be pre-taped.
