Two big-name country albums arrived in conjunction with the June 1-7 tracking period, and early sales projections are now available.
According to Hits Daily Double, Dierks Bentley’s “The Mountain” should sell 85-90,000 pure US copies this week. With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, it may generate 90-95,000 in total first-week consumption.
Sugarland’s “Bigger” is meanwhile expected to debut with 22-25,000 pure sales. The inclusion of TEA and SEA should net a consumption tally in the 25-28,000 range.
If the aforementioned projections hold, “The Mountain” will take #2 on the pure US sales (Billboard Top Album Sales) chart. It is in the mix for a Top 5 bow on the consumption front (Billboard 200).
Firm ranking projections are not yet available for “Bigger,” but the aforementioned sales figure should almost certainly be enough for a Top 10 bow on Top Album Sales.
