Season one of FOX’s “The Four: Battle With Stardom” ended with considerable momentum. The season finale posted the show’s best numbers on record.
The season two premiere just posted the show’s lowest ratings.
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “The Four” settled for a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating and averaged only 2.43 million overall viewers.
The series low numbers markedly trail the 1.3 rating and 3.92 million viewer mark drawn by the first season finale. They also come in well below the 1.2 rating and 3.75 million viewer figure for the series premiere.
While Thursday’s “The Four” did face competition from NBC’s coverage of the Stanley Cup, the first season finale actually faced stronger competition. It aired opposite the first night of the Winter Olympics, a big college basketball game on ESPN, and original episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scandal.”
