Post Malone & Ty Dolla Sign’s “Psycho” Headed For #1 At Pop Radio

The “Beerbongs & Bentleys” single will reach #1 at a second radio format.

Post Malone is on the verge of scoring his first pop radio #1. The artist’s “Psycho (featuring Ty Dolla $ign)” is poised to claim the top spot on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

“Psycho” received 4,310 spins during the first two days of the June 3-9 tracking period. Up 13.2% from the count at this point last week, “Psycho” claims #1 on the building/real-time chart.

“Psycho” does not face an obvious threat from below. Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey’s building #2 “The Middle” (4,171 spins, +0.1%) is stagnating (and may start to decelerate soon), while Camila Cabello’s building #3 “Never Be The Same” (4,154 spins, -1.8%) is fading. Bazzi’s building #4 “Mine” is accelerating at a slightly faster rate than “Psycho” (4,002 spins, +16.7%), but it appears unlikely to close the gap before the chart goes final.

As noted, “Psycho” is poised to become the first pop radio chart-topper for Post Malone. It will be the second #1 for Ty Dolla $ign, who previously ruled for two weeks as part of Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home.”

“Psycho” has already hit #1 at the rhythmic radio format. It has thus far peaked at #2 on the overall Billboard Hot 100 chart.
