Shawn Mendes’ Album Wins US Sales Race, Will Claim #1 On Billboard 200

Shawn Mendes scores his third consecutive #1 album.

“Shawn Mendes,” the new, self-titled album from Shawn Mendes, predictably won this week’s US sales and consumption races.

According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle, the album sold approximately 142K pure US copies during the May 25-31 tracking period.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “Shawn Mendes” generated about 182K in total first-week consumption units.

Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data may differ slightly from that reported by Hits. The discrepancies will not, however, affect the overall outcome on either chart.

The pure sales total will earn “Shawn Mendes” #1 on Top Album Sales, while the consumption tally will secure a #1 bow on the Billboard 200.
