Shawn Mendes’ New Album Reaches #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart

Shawn Mendes’ self-titled album quickly reached #1 on iTunes.

Shawn Mendes’ new, self-titled album launched on the US iTunes store late Thursday night.

By very early Friday morning, it had reached #1 on the store’s all-genre sales chart.

“Shawn Mendes” occupies that pinnacle position as of press time at 1:15AM ET.

Its closest competition comes from another newcomer: CHVRCHES’ “Love Is Dead.”

Snow Patrol’s new “Wildness” follows at #3, while the enduring “Greatest Showman” soundtrack is situated at #4.

J Balvin’s new “Vibras” closes out the Top 5 at #5.

A$AP Rocky’s new “Testing” (#6), Jonathan Davis’ new “Black Labyrinth” (#7), Five Finger Death Punch’s “And Justice For None” (#8), Post Malone’s “Beerbongs & Bentleys” (#9) and BTS’ “Love Yourself: Tear” (#10) complete the Top 10.
