Last week, news broke that Nicki Minaj would appear on the May 23 “Ellen DeGeneres Show.” The hip-hop superstar was set to appear for an interview and musical performance.
Evidently, she was also set to make an “announcement” on the show.
Tuesday, Nicki Minaj was removed from listings for the May 23 “Ellen.” The announcement is still coming.
In a Tuesday evening Tweet, Minaj confirmed that while she was unable to fly out for her “Ellen DeGeneres Show” appearance, she will share the news via social media.
“I couldn’t fly out to shoot Ellen,” wrote Minaj on Twitter. “I’m sad about that. There’s an announcement I was going to make on Ellen. I’ll make it tomorrow via social media instead. Love you.”
With Minaj’s Tweet, fan speculation transitioned from whether her “Ellen” appearance was indeed canceled to guesses over what news she will be sharing Wednesday.
