Pharrell & Camila’s “Sangria Wine” Received Opening Day US Radio Play; KIIS FM Led The Way

102.7 KIIS FM had played “Sangria Wine” almost twenty times by the close of Friday.

As an eagerly anticipated single featuring two popular artists, “Sangria Wine” predictably attracted opening day attention at pop and rhythmic radio.

The Pharrell Williams-Camila Cabello collaboration received its greatest opening day support in Los Angeles.

By the close of Friday, May 18, 102.7 KIIS FM had played “Sangria Wine” 18 times. Fellow Los Angeles pop station 97.1 AMP had offered 8 spins.

Other top early supporters include the MusicChoice Top 40 channel (4 plays), Miami’s Hits 97.3 (3 plays), San Francisco’s WiLD 94.9 (3 spins), and Milwaukee’s 103.7 KISS FM (3 spins).

“Sangria Wine” may have received one or two spins from some other stations.

While it did not set either chart on fire, “Sangria Wine” attracted solid opening day attention on the US iTunes and Spotify charts. It went as high as #11 on iTunes, while ranking as Friday’s #49 song on Spotify.

Williams and Cabello will be performing the song during Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards ceremony.
