Diplo, French Montana & Lil Pump’s “Deadpool 2” soundtrack cut “Welcome To The Party (featuring Zhavia)” had been building momentum since its release earlier this week.
Friday’s film release accelerated that growth — and thrust the song into the upper reaches of the US iTunes sales chart.
The song is #20 on the all-genre listing as of press time at 3PM ET Saturday.
“Welcome To The Party” is one of several new releases inside the Top 20. Kris Wu’s “Like That” and BTS’ “Fake Love,” two of those releases, are holding down the chart’s top two slots.
Other prominently positioned new releases include Backstreet Boys’ “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” (#3), Sam Hunt’s “Downtown’s Dead” (#7), for KING & COUNTRY’s “joy.” (#10), Christina Aguilera’s “Fall In Line (featuring Demi Lovato)” (#14), Clean Bandit’s “Solo (featuring Demi Lovato)” (#15), and Pharrell Williams x Camila Cabello’s “Sangria Wine” (#17).
