Camila Cabello’s “Never Be The Same” spent the past three weeks at #2 on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.
It does not appear in that spot on this week’s chart.
The song instead claims #1, seizing the throne held by Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey’s “The Middle” for the past five weeks.
“Never Be The Same” earns #1 on the strength of its ~17,923 pop radio spins. This week’s count tops last week’s mark by 591.
“Never Be The Same” becomes Cabello’s third number since embarking on her solo career. She previously reached the summit with her Machine Gun Kelly collaboration “Bad Things” and her global smash “Havana (featuring Young Thug).”
Cabello also scored a #1 hit while part of Fifth Harmony. The group’s “Work From Home (featuring Ty Dolla $ign)” topped the pop chart in the spring of 2016.
The aforementioned “The Middle” falls to #2 this week. The collaboration received ~17,549 tracking period plays (-582).
Drake’s “God’s Plan” rises one spot to #3 with ~14,109 spins (+256), while a spin count of ~13,871 (+225) lifts The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar’s “Pray For Me” one place to #4.
Down two spots, Bebe Rexha’s “Meant To Be (featuring Florida Georgia Line)” takes #5 with ~13,679 spins (-1,364).
