Last week’s “The Voice” results show drew an unremarkable rating by franchise standards while facing re-runs of “Roseanne” and “NCIS.”
Facing new episodes of both shows, this week’s results show fell to a series low.
According to fast national data shared by NBC, Tuesday’s “The Voice” drew a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 7.5 million overall viewers.
Series lows for a regular episode, the numbers trail the 1.6 rating and 9.3 million viewer mark drawn last week.
“The Voice” tied “NCIS” and “black-ish” for third place in adults 18-49. “Roseanne” (2.5) and “The Middle” (1.5) both drew stronger numbers.
While they fared well from a competitive standpoint, it is worth noting that “Roseanne” was down substantially from its last original and “NCIS” tied its season low. The 8PM hour was tough this week, likely due in part to extended daylight and warming weather.
— The depleted “The Voice” lead-in prevented “Rise” from enjoying a rebound. The show held at last week’s modest 0.7 demo rating, while enduring a decline in overall viewership (3.8 million this week vs. 4.2 million last week).
“Chicago Med” closed NBC’s night with a 0.9 rating and 5.8 million viewers. Last week’s episode drew the same 0.9 rating in the preliminaries but rose to a 1.0 (and 6.2 million in viewership) in the final report.
