According to the RIAA, “Tennessee Whiskey” attained 4x platinum status on April 26, 2018. The award confirms 4 million in US units, each unit equals 1 paid download or 150 streams.
Stapleton also received a myriad of other single certifications on April 26:
“Fire Away,” “Broken Halos,” “Nobody To Blame,” and “Parachute” all attained platinum status, signaling 1 million in US units. “Whiskey And You” went gold (500,000).
Stapleton additionally received a platinum album certification for “From A Room, Volume 1” and a gold certification for “From A Room, Volume 2.”
The certifications confirm 1 million and 500,000 in US album units, respectively. An album unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.
