Mason Ramsey of Wal-Mart yodeling fame just signed with Big Loud/Atlantic — and just released a new song entitled “Famous.”
First thing Friday morning, that single was delivered to country radio for potential airplay.
Whether Big Loud and Atlantic are providing any sort of promotional “push” for the song remains to be seen, but it is clear they are looking to make the most of the 11-year-old’s momentum — and test the song’s prospects at radio.
The video of Ramsey yodeling at Wal-Mart has gone viral. The young singer himself, meanwhile, has commanded considerable attention. He appeared on a recent episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and a video of the performance has amassed over 17 million views on YouTube alone.
