Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left To Cry” Closed Day One With 1595 Pop Radio Plays

“No Tears Left To Cry” will jump into the Top 40 on this week’s pop radio chart.

Thanks to “on the hour” airplay support from numerous stations and the enthusiasm one would expect for a new Ariana Grande single, “No Tears Left To Cry” got off to a very hot start at pop radio.

By the end of Friday (its first full day in the market), “No Tears Left To Cry” had received 1,595 spins at pop radio.

The count positions “No Tears Left To Cry” at #32 on Mediabase’s building pop chart, which ranks songs based on the first six days of the April 15-21 tracking period.

While the song may not receive quite as much airplay Saturday, it will receive enough to remain comfortably inside the Top 40 as the chart goes final.

— “No Tears Left To Cry” also received early attention at rhythmic and hot adult contemporary radio.

Its biggest rhythmic support has thus far come from Honolulu’s 93.9 The Beat. The station had played “No Tears Left To Cry” a whopping 27 times by the end of Friday.

San Diego’s Star 94.1 leads the way at Hot AC (14 spins).
