Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left To Cry” Rockets To #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart

“No Tears Left To Cry” quickly hits #1 on the US iTunes sales chart.

Ariana Grande’s eagerly anticipated new single “No Tears Left To Cry” debuted on the US iTunes sales chart at 12AM ET Friday.

It quickly – and predictably – shot to #1 on the all-genre sales chart. It remains in that pinnacle position as of press time at 1:45AM ET.

Given Grande’s popularity and the excitement surrounding the release, it is hard to imagine the song would have had any trouble hitting #1 at full price. It is worth noting, however, that “No Tears Left To Cry” is available at a discounted $0.69 price point.

That price point should increase first week sales — and help the song secure a strong position on next week’s Billboard Hot 100.

— Carrie Underwood’s “Cry Pretty” (#2), Bebe Rexha’s “Meant To Be (featuring Florida Georgia Line)” (#3), Drake’s “Nice For What” (#4), and Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy” (#5) complete the current Top 5.
