Sabrina Carpenter’s “Why” Receives Gold Certification In United States

It’s Carpenter’s second gold-certified single in the United States.

Sabrina Carpenter’s single “Why” just received a certification from the RIAA.

According to the RIAA, the tune went gold in the United States on April 17, 2018. The award confirms at least 500,000 in US units.

Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Why,” which charted at pop radio last year, is the second Sabrina Carpenter single to receive a certification from the RIAA.

She previously attained gold status with “Thumbs” — her first song to earn a spot on the pop radio airplay chart.
