Tinashe’s “Joyride” Projected For 5-7K US Sales, 15-20K Total US Units

Sales projections for Tinashe’s “Joyride,” which was released on April 13.

Early sales projections have emerged for Tinashe’s “Joyride.”

Based on opening day sales data, Hits Daily Double expects the new album to sell 5-7K pure US copies this week. With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, the album should generate 15-20,000 in total first-week consumption units.

Initial sales projections have been a bit rough as of late; readers are advised to check back later in the week for updated numbers.

With 2016’s “Nightride” formally classified as a mixtape, “Joyride” represents Tinashe’s sophomore album. It is the follow-up to 2014’s “Aquarius,” which sold 19K copies in its first week. It debuted at #19 on the then-sales-only Billboard 200.
