Early Ratings: “Scandal,” “Station 19” Steady In Demo, “Grey’s” Slips; All Three Up In Viewers

Preliminary ratings have emerged for the April 12 “TGIT” episodes.

Based on preliminary ratings data, the penultimate “Scandal” matched the previous episode in adults 18-49.

Fellow “TGIT” series “Station 19” also held steady this week. The current number for “Grey’s Anatomy” is down from last week’s final figure (and reflective of a new series low), but on par with last week’s early number.

All three shows, meanwhile, enjoyed viewership gains.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “Scandal” drew a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 4.18 million overall viewers. Last week’s episode drew the same 0.9 rating but a lesser 3.83 million viewer mark.

Lead-in “Station 19” posted a 1.0 in the demo and 5.61 million viewers. Last week’s “Station 19” scored a 0.9 and 5.09 million.

Airing at 8PM, “Grey’s Anatomy” managed a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating and 6.93 million in overall viewership. The previous episode drew a stronger 1.7 demo rating but a weaker 6.84 million viewer mark.

Should this week’s demo rating hold, it would rank as a new series low. But insofar as “Grey’s” sometimes receives an upward adjustment in the final ratings report (that was the case last week), it is too early to treat the series low distinction as definite.
