Ratings: “The Voice” Holds Steady, “American Idol” Ticks Up; “Good Girls” Tops “The Crossing”

“The Voice” again ranked as Monday’s top music competition, but “Idol” enjoyed a slight week-over-week gain.

NBC’s “The Voice” again topped ABC’s “American Idol” in the head-to-head ratings race.

“Idol” did, however, narrow the deficit this week.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Monday’s “The Voice” drew a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 9.75 million overall viewers.

The demo rating matches last Monday’s mark, while the viewership sum narrowly trails last week’s 10.03 million figure.

“Idol” meanwhile averaged a 1.5 rating and 7.63 million viewers. Both numbers top those of last week’s episode, which scored a 1.4 and 7.16 million.

Not simply stronger than “Idol,” NBC’s “The Voice” also ranked as Monday’s top show in adults 18-49 and viewership.

— NBCs’ big night also included victory in the 10PM hour, as its “Good Girls” (1.0, 4.51 million this week vs. 0.9, 4.04 million last week) topped ABC’s “The Crossing” (0.8, 4.52 million) in the key demo.
