Ratings Update: FOX’s “Empire,” “STAR” Decline From Spring Premieres, Remain Solid

“Empire” and “STAR” were down from last week but fared well from a competitive standpoint.

This week’s editions of “Empire” and “STAR” predictably drew fewer viewers than last week’s spring premieres.

They still fared well in terms of the overall television landscape.

According to final national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Empire” drew a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 5.57 million overall viewers.

The numbers trail the 2.0 rating and 6.22 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s episode.

The demo rating is nonetheless strong 2018 television standards. It was, in fact, enough to position “Empire” as the night’s top-rated show.

“Empire” led into “STAR,” which drew a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 4.21 million viewers. While the numbers trail the 1.5 rating and 4.65 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s broadcast, they too reflect a solid performance.
