Jack White’s “Boarding House Reach” Wins US Sales Race, Will Take #1 On Billboard 200

Jack White’s new album will top this week’s album charts.

Making good on early projections, Jack White’s “Boarding House Reach” convincingly wins this week’s US album sales and consumption races.

According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle, “Boarding House Reach” sold approximately 122,654 pure US copies during the March 23-29 tracking period. The count quadruples that of the #2 album.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “Boarding House Reach” generated 126,658 in overall US consumption units. That figure comfortably ranks as the week’s best.

In addition to the enthusiasm one would expect for a new Jack White album, “Boarding House Reach” benefited from a concert ticket/album promotion (redeemed albums count as sales) and other strong direct-to-consumer activity.

Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data may differ from that reported by Hits. The differences should not, however, impact the overall conclusion. “Boarding House Reach” will be #1 on the Top Album Sales (pure sales) and Billboard 200 (consumption) charts.
