Ratings: “Suits” Returns With Series Low In Demo, Near-Low In Viewers

The spring premiere of USA Network’s “Suits” delivered underwhelming ratings.

Buzz over the “Darvey” kiss, hype over Mike and Rachel’s impending departure, excitement for a “premiere” episode, and general interest in Meghan Markle did not power Wednesday’s “Suits” to strong live+same-day ratings.

Wednesday’s spring premiere actually set a new series low in adults 18-49. It nearly set a low in overall viewership.

According to L+SD data posted by Showbuzz, the broadcast drew a 0.30 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.18 million overall viewers.

While the numbers are fine by conventional cable standards, they are weak in comparison to the historical “Suits” mark.

The demo rating, as noted, is a new low for the show. Only one episode — the March 1, 2017 sixth season finale — drew fewer viewers (1.13 million).

The spring premiere of “Suits” was also down sharply from the summer finale, which posted a 0.47 rating and drew 1.68 million viewers on September 13, 2017.
