Neither Ben Platt & Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Found/Tonight” nor Shawn Mendes’ “In My Blood” was available for the entirety of the March 16-22 sales and streaming tracking week.
Both songs, however, generated enough activity to land on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Found/Tonight” debuts at #49, while “In My Blood” earns #72.
The Hot 100 ranks songs based on combined activity from sales, streams and radio airplay. Both songs generated the greatest share of points on the sales front.
Despite not arriving until the fourth day of the tracking period, “Found/Tonight” actually takes #1 on the Digital Song Sales subchart.
“In My Blood,” which did not debut until the final day of the tracking period, earns #9 on the sales listing.
Both songs generated similar amounts of streams. As a proper radio single, “In My Blood” naturally received far more airplay. Its advantage at radio was obviously not, however, enough to close the gap on the sales front.
