Boosted by its NCAA lead-in and the high-profile Stormy Daniels interview, this weekend’s “60 Minutes” ranked as Sunday’s #1 program in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.
AMC’s “The Walking Dead” still kept the cable crown — by a dominant margin.
According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “TWD” drew a 2.95 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 6.77 million overall viewers.
The numbers, which top the 2.83 rating and 6.66 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s episode, were the best posted by a Sunday cable original.
The adults 18-49 rating, moreover, was the second-best posted by any Sunday night program (network or cable). It will almost certainly rank as this week’s top rating for a scripted show.

The show made the most of the opportunity, drawing a strong 1.34 rating and 3.34 million viewer mark in the slot. It was cable’s #2 Sunday original in both columns.
It, impressively, topped combined numbers for the other major cable premieres that aired in the timeslot: HBO’s “Silicon Valley”/”Barry” combination (0.27, 0.63 million average), Showtime’s “Billions” (0.26, 0.93 million), FX’s “Trust” (0.20, 0.80 million).
Even if one breaks out “Silicon Valley” (0.31, 0.70 million) and “Barry” (0.22, 0.56 million) separately, “The Terror” still beat the combined numbers for its 10PM rivals.
