Ratings Update: “Riverdale” Sets New Season Low; “Life Sentence” Viewership Falls

“Riverdale” set new season lows in adults 18-49 and viewership. “Life Sentence” was down in viewers.

Update: The demo rating for Wednesday’s “Riverdale” did not receive an update in the final report.

The episode, therefore, officially set new season lows in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Riverdale” drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.19 million overall viewers.

The season low numbers trail the 0.5 rating and 1.26 million viewer mark posted last week.

— The CW followed “Riverdale” with the second installment of “Life Sentence.” The episode drew a 0.2 adults 18-49 rating and 0.56 million viewers.

Last week’s series premiere posted a 0.2 and 0.67 million.

Preliminary ratings data reveals that Wednesday’s “Riverdale” set a new season low in live+same-day viewership.

As it currently stands, the demo rating also represents a new season low.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Riverdale” drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.18 million overall viewers.

Last week’s episode drew a 0.5 in the demo and 1.26 million in viewership.

As the demo ratings for the past two episodes received upward adjustments in the finals, it is certainly possible this week’s demo rating will end up at a 0.5.

It seems safe, however, to assume the viewership number may remain below last week’s mark — and thus represent a new season low.

If so, it will be the fifth consecutive “Riverdale” broadcast to fall to a new live+same-day viewership low.

— “Riverdale” led into the second episode of “Life Sentence.” The episode drew a paltry 0.2 in the demo and only 0.62 million in overall viewership.

Last week’s low-rated premiere drew a 0.2 in the demo and 0.67 million in viewership.
